Built by people who hated booking a plumber.
In 2019 our founders watched a friend wait six days for a kitchen-sink repair while the only "recommended" pros ghosted, double-charged or never showed. Across town, three plumbers they trusted complained that lead-gen platforms were eating 40% of their margin to deliver leads that didn't book. Two broken markets — same week, same city.
Gogeter started as a single shared spreadsheet to fix that one neighborhood. By month four it had verified pros, fixed-fee leads and a 96% job-completion rate. It turned out that when you actually verify who you list, escrow the money, and back every booking with a guarantee, both sides relax. Customers book. Pros show up.
Five years later we're in 200+ cities and run a directory of 1.8 million verified pros. The product is bigger, the mission's identical: make the local-services market feel honest, fast, and fair to both sides of every booking.
